Cedar offers a natural, warm appearance and is naturally resistant to rot and insects. It costs less upfront but requires annual sealing or staining. Composite decking costs more initially but is virtually maintenance-free and retains its color for decades. Cedar is ideal if you prefer a natural wood look, while composite is best for low-maintenance durability. YKWoodWorking can also combine materials for a unique design.
