An architect-designed deck using house-framing principles, with exposed posts as a design feature.
This deck was designed by an architect who applied house-framing principles to the structure, making it quite different from typical deck construction. The posts are exposed rather than hidden beneath the deck and became a striking design element. To match, the original stair plan was replaced with a solid lumber stair inspired by interior staircase design.
